Warren County History
Established in 1846, Warren County is located in southern Iowa and was named after Joseph Warren, a general in the American Revolutionary War. The county seat, Indianola, developed as a regional center for agriculture and education. As of the 2020 census, Warren County has a population of 52,403 residents.
