Prominent soil types include highly productive Canisteo clay loam, Nicollet clay loam, and Clarion loam. Access to the farm is from 600th Street. The tract is located northeast of Newell, Iowa in Section 4 of Newell Township, Buena Vista County, Iowa. County drainage tile is located on the farm, with sizes ranging from 12" to 18" in diameter.
