Mark's Bio
Mark's deep-rooted connection to agriculture began growing up in southwest Iowa, where he was actively involved in a family operation that included hogs, sheep, cattle, and row-crop production. As a young entrepreneur, he also operated a custom hay business, experiences that strengthened his appreciation for agriculture and ultimately planted the seeds for a lifelong career serving rural communities.
He furthered his agricultural knowledge by earning an Associate Degree in Ag Business from Iowa Western Community College and a Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy from Iowa State University. With more than 30 years of experience at Key Cooperative, Mark has built a diverse career in precision agriculture, agronomy sales, operations, and location management. His extensive industry background provides him with a strong understanding of agricultural land, farm operations, and the needs of rural property owners.
Always eager to embrace new technology, Mark recently earned his FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License and Aerial Applicator Certificate. Over the past two years, he has been flying drones for local farmers, providing precise pesticide applications that support crop health and productivity.
As a real estate agent, Mark combines his agricultural expertise, local knowledge, and strong work ethic to help clients confidently navigate the buying and selling process. Whether working with farmland, acreage properties, or rural residential real estate, he understands the unique value and opportunities each property offers.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, gardening, and spending time outdoors. He and his wife, Kathy, have been married for 30 years and enjoy life surrounded by their growing family. Together, they have three grown children, their spouses, and six grandchildren who keep life full of joy and adventure.
